Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders: Unite, Educate & Advocate

24 July 2011 One Comment

As Chairwoman of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), I warmly welcome you to the 2nd Laotian National Conference in Washington, DC.

With their focus on “Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Leaders: Unite, Educate & Advocate,” the Laotian American National Alliance is effectively bringing the community together to advance the interests of current and future generations.

I also want to commend LANA for the work they have put into organizing this exciting and informative conference.

This year’s workshops cover health, advocacy, citizenship, language preservation, education, leadership, and more, all critical issues to address on the path to building and promoting the Laotian American community’s voice in the United States.

On behalf of the U.S. House of Representatives and all of CAPAC’s Members, I thank LANA for their inspiring work and I wish you all the best moving forward.

Sincerely,

JUDY CHU, Ph.D.
Member of Congress
